7-in-10 people say it's a bad time to buy a home right now. That data comes from Fannie Mae and its monthly housing report, a survey of consumer sentiment about the state of U.S. housing. But also in that same survey which asks, "If you were going to move right now, what would you do- rent or buy?" 7-in-10 people -- the same percentage -- said we would buy despite the negative sentiment. And why not? Compared to earlier this year, mortgage rates are lower. Homes for sale are up. Buyers are getting a bit of leverage negotiation. And the market, it seems, is starting to take notice. So maybe people do think it's a bad time to buy a home, but as they're telling us, that's not going to stop them anyway. I'm Dan with Homebuyer.com. Happy homebuying.
